 ‘A thought-provoking walking tour around the Historic Dockyard giving an intriguing insight into some momentous events in an age-old story of the yard and its workforce’. 

 

*The Great Fire of 1776 that crippled the fleet in time of war, 

and what the dockyard workforce did with the culprit. 

*See and hear what Admiral Lord Nelson did on his last day in England. 

before departing for Trafalgar 14th September 1805. 

*The Pique stone affair of 1835. 

This tour is FREE curtesy of the Dockyard Historical Trust

*The tour is approx. 90 minutes long. An easy walk on the flat. It WILL NOT include any of the Historic ships.
